Your Agreement with Enchanted Traveler
We are delighted you will be joining us on our Tour! To ensure your trip goes as planned, please review the following information.
Reservation and Payment
You will receive an invoice from Enchanted Traveler via PayPal, for the tour portion of the package. You will receive a separate request from Paris Perfect for the apartment accommodations. Paris Perfect Apartment rental is subject to their own terms and conditions not included here. See Paris Perfect website for their Terms & Conditions.
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm the tour portion, and the balance is due 90 days prior to arrival. Your tour is confirmed when you accept the terms and conditions, and your card has been charged for the deposit.
We'll send you another invoice for the balance approximately one week before final payment is due. Please note that if the balance has not been paid by the due date and we've sent an email reminder, we will assume you have cancelled the booking and cancellation terms will apply.
Insurance and Cancellation
Travel Insurance: It is hard to believe it will happen to you, but the best laid plans can sometimes go awry. To protect yourself, we strongly encourage you to take out adequate trip cancellation and travel accident insurance in the event that you need to cancel or have problems while traveling. Travelex and Travel Guard are two of several popular insurance vendors, but it is your responsibility to make your own decision as to insurance vendor. However, no representation or description of the insurance made by our staff constitutes a binding assurance or promise about the insurance.
In the event that you decide not to take out Travel Insurance you agree to indemnify us against any charges that might otherwise be covered by your insurance. You further agree that we are not responsible for any costs of cancellation by you.
Cancellation Terms for Enchanted Traveler Tour Components Only
- Cancelling more than 125 days before arrival date: Payments made are fully refundable, minus €195 administration fee and 4% bank processing fee.
- Cancelling between 125-96 days before arrival date: 35% of the total tour price will be retained.
- Cancelling less than 95 days before arrival date: Tour payment is not refundable. Please protect yourself and take out travel insurance.
- Refunds will be processed in US Dollars and refunded to your credit card or bank account.
** Please note – Paris Perfect has their own cancellation terms for the apartment rentals. Apartments are rented on a per unit basis (not per person), and apartment reservations are not considered cancelled unless everyone in the group cancels. Substitutions are permitted, but apartment refunds are not considered for a decrease in the number of occupants. Click here to review the Paris Perfect website for their Terms & Conditions.
Documentation
U.S. citizens traveling to any destination outside of the United States will be required to present a valid U.S. passport. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months past your return date. We recommend 12 months validity remaining. Some countries require a visa for transit or entry. You are responsible to ensure you have all the proper documents for entry. All names on documents and airline tickets must match the legal name on your passport. Please check the State Department website at http://travel.state.gov for further information. If you are a citizen of another country, there may be additional requirements. Check with the nearest consulate or embassy of the destination you are traveling to and find out the entry requirements for non-U.S. citizens.
Immunizations may also be required, especially if you have traveled through infected areas prior to arrival. For medical information, we recommend contacting the Centers for Disease Control at (877) FYI-TRIP or www.cdc.gov/travel
Failure to comply with these regulations may result in denied boarding, denied entry, and/or government imposed fines. You agree not to hold Enchanted Traveler responsible for your failure to comply with these regulations.
Responsibility
Enchanted Traveler (“ET”) offers retail travel services to customers, which are provided by separate and independent vendors of travel services (“Suppliers”). ET does not operate, control, or otherwise provide the services of the independent travel Suppliers.
ET acts as a sales agent for any airline, hotel or apartment, ground transportation provider, tour operator, cruise line or other service provider named in the tour itinerary. ET is not responsible for acts or omissions of the Suppliers or their failure to provide services or adhere to their own schedules.
Hence, customer agrees and understands that ET assumes no responsibility for and shall not be liable for any refund, personal injury, property damage, or other loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be caused by: (1) any defaults, wrongful or negligent acts, or omissions of the Suppliers; (2) any defect in or failure of any vehicle, craft, equipment, or instrumentality owned, operated, or otherwise used or provided by the Suppliers; or (3) any wrongful or negligent acts or omissions on the part of any other party not under ET’s control. You hereby release ET from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph.
In the event an airline or travel vendor declares bankruptcy, it is not obligated to carry you or to provide funds. Money given ET immediately becomes the property of the airline or travel vendor as required by law. ET is not allowed to provide refunds for vendors who have declared bankruptcy. If an airline or travel vendor declares bankruptcy, it might continue services or stop completely. Other airlines or travel vendors might provide alternative services under the limited circumstances.
If ET is the merchant on your credit card transaction, you agree to the following: ET’s services consist of facilitating the sale and paying the Suppliers, and once ET provides said services, you agree not to dispute the credit card charge. If a Supplier does not provide the service or ceases operations, your only recourse will be against the Supplier. If a Supplier goes bankrupt, your only recourse will be to file a claim with the Supplier’s bankruptcy court. If you have purchased travel insurance that covers default by a Supplier, you may be entitled to file a claim. Check with your insurance provider for details.
Enchanted Traveler has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the Suppliers, unsafe conditions, health hazards, weather hazards, or climate extremes at locations to which you may travel. For information concerning possible dangers at destinations, ET recommends contacting the Travel Warnings Section of the U.S. State Department at (202) 647-5225 or www.travel.state.gov. You assume full and complete responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of your destination(s), and all conditions regarding health, safety, security, political stability, and labor or civil unrest at such destination(s). You hereby release ET from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph.
We also strongly recommend that you use a credit card for your purchase, so that you can exercise your rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act if you do not receive the services you purchased.
Customer understands and agrees that ET is not responsible for any damages, direct or consequential, which may arise as a result of closures of museums, attractions, restaurants, acts of God, social or labor unrest, war, political or civil strikes, terrorist activities, mechanical failures, climatic conditions or any other actions or omissions beyond our control. ET reserves the right to substitute tour components of equal or greater value if any of the specified items included in the tour should be unavailable for reasons beyond our control.
Mobility
This tour package includes several walking tours, which will include moderately-paced walks of approximately 1 - 2 miles. In addition, Paris metro stations are normally equipped only with stairs…most stations do not have escalators or elevators. Tour participants should be prepared to walk 1 - 2 miles per day, and be able to climb and descend two flights of stairs several times each day. If anyone in your party has mobility challenges, you agree to notify us immediately prior to deposit so that we can discuss with you, and determine if modifications or accommodations can be made to your satisfaction. We want to ensure you have a great trip, with no surprises!
